Imagination: Experimental Typography Book

Student Work, Sep 2017 – Feb 2017

Imagination is a book that sums up an entire semester of typographical experimentation: Hand-lettering, three-dimensional type, and digital typesetting all centered around a theme and a body of text. The use of images was limited - this book is primarily about the use of Type in order to convey and express a theme or idea.

After working on more controversial topics such as Government Whistleblowers and The 2016 Election, I decided to switch gears and explore subject matter that was inspirational and positive. Steve Jobs can himself be a divisive figure, but his commencement address to Stanford University in 2005 was inspirational and uplifting and is the body of text in which this design is centered upon.
