The Problem

Technology has transformed the way we do business, receive healthcare, and communicate with our loved ones, yet close to 1 in 5 Americans do not use the Internet. Disproportionately from low-income and minority communities, these populations remain isolated from our digital society.

Who Is xband?

xband is a non-profit organization that helps families with students get access to the Internet. We do that by partnering with the nation's largest Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and creating affordable options.

What programs are available?

xband has partnered with the largest Internet Service Providers to create plans that are affordable and accessible. See the list below for each provider's qualifications:

Cox Communications

Cox Communications requires that at least 1 child in your household is enrolled in school and is enrolled in their school's free lunch program. Learn more about Cox Communication's available plans.

Comcast Xfinity

Comcast Xfinity requires that at least 1 child in your household is enrolled in school and is enrolled in their school's free or reduced lunch program. Learn more about Comcast Xfinity's available plans.

Verizon Fios

Verizon Fios requires that at least 1 child in your household is enrolled in school and your family qualifies for the Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Learn more about Verizon Fios' available plans.
